I'm a Patriot and You're Not

(Think "The Yankee Doodle Boy" music and lyrics by George M. Cohan)

I'm a Patriot and you’re not,
A Patriot will do or die;
No matter what they say, it’s always right.
I can’t believe they would lie!
I put my blinders on and follow
Like a lemming to the sea.
If you wear your flag pin proudly,
never think or question,
You’ll be a Patriot like me.

I'm a Patriot and you’re not,
I see those weapons up ahead.
They told me they were there, so I believe.
How dare you say we’re misled?
The Prez wants only to protect us.
I will follow faithfully.
If, with hand on heart, you sing—
(in English, not in Spanish!)
You’ll be a Patriot like me.
